Network Logger Pro starts recording Internet Connection Outages at launch automatically, no setup is required. You can just let it run, it shows outages both on a graph and in a list you can show to your Internet Service Provider.

The Internet Connection Outage Log:

The Connection Outage Log resides in the Network Status Window, which also contains scrolling Realtime Display Graphs of network interfaces like Wifi other devices on your local area network, and a long term History Graph which you can switch between your monitored devices to view on the scale of weeks or months:
